ITINERARY:

From the port of Cadiz, we’ll reach the city of Seville in about an hour and a half.

We’ll start our Seville shore excursion with a visit to Maria Luisa Park. Most of the grounds were once part of the Palace of San Telmo so it’s a stunningly elegant spot to finish the tour. From here we will head to Plaza de España, where  we’ll see one of the most beautiful and spectacular spaces in Spain. The architecture of this breathtaking spot mixes elements of the Renaissance Revival and Moorish Revival.

The shore excursion will continue at the Seville Cathedral. You’ll be blown away by the structure and scale of the world’s largest Gothic cathedral and the third-largest church in the world.

We will walk then through the Barrio de Santa Cruz, one of the most popular and visited areas of the city, and we will admire the exterior of the General Archive of the Indies, a depository of historical documents that illustrate the Spanish Empire in the Americas and in the Philippines.

We’ll stop by the Alcázar, one of the most magnificent buildings in Seville; so beautiful it was chosen as the royal palace.

After enjoying some spare time we will continue the tour walking  along the banks of the Guadalquivir until we reach the Torre del Oro. This military watchtower was built in the 13th century by the Arabs who at that time dominated the city.

Depending on the time left, we will pass by Plaza Nueva and Plaza de Toros before getting back to Cadiz port.

*Shore excursions could be subject to variations due to external causes as Cruise Companies politics, weather conditions, duration of the stay of the ship in the port, legal demonstrations.
